Top Ten Year-End Review Questions

As the year draws to a beautiful close, many of us have already mentally started planning for the year ahead. And rightfully so, because we must release the old in order to embrace and bring in the new. To powerfully step into where we wish to go and become whom we wish to be, it is important to know where we stand currently and who we are at this very moment. By taking time to reflect on this past year, you will get in touch with and acknowledge your wins, uncover your blocks, and feel propelled to complete as much as you can before the year officially closes. And in doing this, you will magically open the doors for new intentions to actualize into your physical reality.

Below are my favorite questions to assess this past year. How about grabbing a journal and answering these questions right now? You will gain valuable insights, learn from your experiences, and release what did not serve you. Trust me, this will support you in more powerfully stepping into the new year charged with the focus and mindset to shine your glorious light in the world, make a profound difference, and create your best year ever.

1. What are your proudest successes and accomplishments from this year? Often, we blow off the accomplishments and dwell in a sea of negativity over what we didn’t accomplish. However, one of the biggest secrets I’ve learned in creating success after success, is to celebrate your accomplishments. So write down everything that went great this year. Focus on this and celebrate your amazing wins! Give yourself the kudos for a rewarding year.

2. What did you learn and/or gain insight into? What great life lessons did you pick up? Please know that there is no right or wrong here, only feedback on how to continually grow and evolve. Isn’t that super cool? You have permission to make mistakes and learn…so take a deep breath, smile, and continuing journaling.

3. What slowed you down or stood in the way of fulfilling your intentions? This is what you have to work on next year, to do your soul work in the world. If it was your own self that got in the way of creating and living your best life, be very clear and honest. No one has to see this but you so be totally open and ask yourself what you need to do differently to create the life you wish to live and the success you wish to attain?

4. What supported you in your growth and success? All successful people have a support system that sustains them and rallies on their behalf. Make sure to honor and thank those special people by recognizing them and letting them how they contributed to your success.

5. What was challenging and disappointing this year? What can you learn from these challenges? Remember, every experience contains an opportunity to grow and evolve. Each challenge holds its own gift. What hidden gifts do you see and how has it enhanced your own personal and professional growth?

6. How consistent is your work with your deepest values? Are you doing work that most aligns with your soul purpose? For example, if one of your deepest values is time and freedom, and yet you’re in a job that keeps you small and powerless, what can you do to change that in the year ahead? When you’re thinking about this, think about what drains you and what energizes you. There’s a powerful secret there to your soul work.

7. What are you grateFULL for? A heart of gratitude is a powerful magnet for abundant wealth. By placing your conscious attention on love and gratitude, you open the door wide for great things to flow into your life.

8. What was missing in your life this year? What feels unfinished? What would you like to complete in the year ahead? Is it more love you are looking for? Or more radiant health? More money? Or perhaps more meaning in your life? Think about how you can incorporate these into your life next year.

9. How can you bring more love, joy, and harmony into your life? This is how we connect to spirit and bring more purpose and meaning to our lives. Create some meaningful rituals that allow you time to connect to your inner joy, to surround yourself with loved ones, and to enjoy hearty laughter. And watch the magic unfold as your life takes on a deeper meaning and lavishes great fortune upon you.

10.What nonessentials are in your life that can let go of right now? Clearing these will help you make the space for the much needed essentials in your life. Take a few minutes and go through the most important room of your house (you can go through the rest later if you’d like), perhaps where you spend the most time. Put everything in the middle where you can see it. Now as you hold each item, ask yourself if you love it, need it, or if you intend to use it? If you answer no, then learn to let go and give it up, donate it, or sell it. Clearing out the nonessential clutter will help you make more room for the essentials you’d like to attract and bring into your life in the new year.

11.What grand intentions have you set for the year ahead? What is your big dream? What if you knew your success was guaranteed? What would you do? Describe your dream in vivid detail. Make it juicy, compelling, exciting and inviting all at the same time. What is your heart ready to say yes to? And finally, what do you need to achieve this big dream in 2012? Think about what worked well for you this year and how you can leverage that next year. And then what is missing that you will additionally need? What steps can you take to bridge the gap? Create your grand plan and know that YOUR TIME IS NOW!

I hope this powerful exercise has helped you to release what you no longer need and embrace all that is working beautifully for you. And now from the divine in me to the divine in you, I celebrate the beautiful holiday season with you and look forward to our continued connections in the coming year!

The Power & Significance of 11-11-11!

As you may be aware, tomorrow’s date is 11-11-11 (or today, depending on where you are in the world) which is viewed as an auspicious date due to its numerological significance. Thousands of people all over the world are honoring this day in various ways…with gatherings, ceremonies, setting intentions and meditations in particular.

After a little research on the numerological significance, I found that 11 is a master number and a number for initiations, for birthing new ideas and creations. So it’s a perfect time to start something new, launch a business, get married, create new connections and set your intentions for a magical year ahead.

To honor and support you, my amazing followers and tribe, I thought…what could I do quickly to support your big dreams, desires and intentions…and I just came up with the perfect idea so I’m sharing it with you right now to powerfully support you before the turn of the clock to 11-11-11!

Join me in setting your intentions for creating a magical year of money, meaning and breakthroughs…both personally and in your business. HERE is a special intention sheet that I created just for you to make note of your intentions and here’s a few instructions on setting them in a way that will powerfully align you with bringing them into your reality:

1) Take some time to relax, clear your mind and write out your intentions using the provided intention sheet from now all the way up to 11:11 am or 11:11 pm tomorrow. If you’re outside the United States and hours ahead of us in time, then choose the 11:11 pm time to make this work for you.

2) At 11:11 am or 11:11 pm on 11-11-11, seed your desires and intentions with a short meditation. And plain ocean sounds are actually best for this, to just sit in quiet and reflect with. If you have a favorite ocean sounds audio, then perfect…use that. If not, really any soothing sounds will work fine.

3) Think about the intentions you’ve written on your intention sheet and ask to receive support with these intentions and making them a part of your physical reality. If you are feeling any resistance and/or fears coming up, ask the Universe (or God, Divine, Higher Self, whatever name you most resonate with) to take what you do not need and to give you the strength to let go of what no longer serves you and to give you the support and willingness to do that which you need to do to move forward in your life and business.

4) Allow yourself some time to be still and quiet…and just receive whatever comes forth and that which wants to be given to you by the universe or your higher self. Just be open to any guidance or direction coming forth. And if nothing is coming forth just yet, that’s okay. Just allow yourself to be…and just be aware of what surfaces as you go about your day and make a note of that.

5) As you complete your meditation, think about the beautiful collective energies of all those doing the same thing at this same time throughout the globe. See yourself in a big beautiful circle holding hands and really connecting with the person on your left and on your right and quietly smiling and nodding in agreement to all those around you about the power of the intentions you have set and how beautifully you have illuminated your path for bringing these intentions to light. And so it is…

Prioritizing Money In Your Life

If you’ve worked with me in my money breakthrough program, you know about the basic belief that I hold about how you do money is how you do everything. The relationship you have with money is a reflection of the relationship you have with yourself. Money is basically a metaphor for your sense of self-worth. It’s about increasing your self-worth and your net worth. They both go hand-in-hand. Money is clearly something that’s a part of our lives that we have to handle, deal with, accommodate, and pay attention to daily and maybe even multiple times per day. It’s something that never goes away while we’re still walking and breathing on this planet. The good news is that it’s very easy to measure. When you start asking a few questions, you very quickly will start to understand you are valuing yourselves in other areas of your life and with your other relationships. Truly, it’s magic when this happens.

Today, I’d like to share a powerful exercise with you in terms of Prioritizing Money In Your Life. On a piece of paper, draw a line down the middle of the paper so you have two columns. The left column is called “What I Value in My Personal Life.” The right-hand side is “What I Value in My Business or Career.” First list what you value the most in your personal life. Aim to list approximately 10 to 15 things. Next list about 10 to 15 things you value in your business or career. Some of these may be the same or they may be totally different.

Now look at your completed lists for your values both personally and in your business or career. Notice where money is in either of the lists you just created. Is it even in the list? When I first did this exercise on myself, money was maybe third in the values for my business, and on the personal side it didn’t even exist. It wasn’t even there. That was hugely illuminating because I was one of those people like many of you have been as well who had feast or famine. I made it, didn’t have it, made it, didn’t have it. Every month I never knew. Every month was starting over, practically. I had some very wild swings. That’s why talking about making more and KEEPING MORE OF IT is a big part of my coaching.

The final step is to move money to one of the top three values. Move it up and think about what specific action will you take now because of this shift in focus? And here’s a bonus exercise. Create a money vision board depicting your money values. What is the money for? It’s to help you create the experiences, opportunities and lifestyle you desire. Making this vision board will really help you anchor it and not hold all this stuff in your mind. Your vision board is an ideal way to see your visions and to make an impression with the way our brains work, like an engraving on our subconscious minds.
